Part Time Career Nanny Needed for Special Needs Children

A warm family of four is seeking an experienced part-time special needs nanny to supplement the care provided by their full-time nanny. This position focuses primarily on evening and weekend coverage, providing consistent, compassionate support for two young children with developmental differences.

This position has a start date of August 14, 2026, and is anticipated to include Sundays from 12:00 PM–5:30 PM and Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM–5:30 PM, with flexibility for the right candidate and the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future.

The family's oldest child is a six-year-old with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder who is highly active, sensory-seeking, and thrives with confident leadership. He requires assistance with some activities of daily living, including dressing and bathing. The younger sibling is a bright and inquisitive four-year-old with sensory sensitivities who enjoys imaginative play and cognitively stimulating activities. Although both children require individualized support, the nanny will often care for one child at a time, but must be comfortable balancing both.

Responsibilities include providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care, preparing simple meals and packing lunches, supporting daily routines, encouraging play and learning, and assisting with light household tasks related to the children. The family is seeking someone who is knowledgable and enjoys taking initiative and views their role as making life easier for parents while becoming a trusted, long-term member of the family's caregiving team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a career nanny with several years of professional experience supporting children with autism or other developmental disabilities, and has impecable reliability and attendance.

Must hold a degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, ABA, education, child development, or a related field.

CPR certification is required.
